Osteopenia

Osteopenia (also called low bone mass) is classified when the T-score is between -1.0 and -2.5. This indicates bone density that is lower than normal but has not yet reached the osteoporosis threshold.

Osteopenia (Low Bone Mass)-2.5 – -1SD

Bone mineral density is below normal but above the osteoporosis threshold. Indicates increased fracture risk relative to normal BMD.
