Indications

Based on a review of this drug by the National Academy of Sciences-National Research Council and/or other information, FDA has classified the indications as follows: "Lacking substantial evidence of effectiveness as a fixed combination": Urobiotic-250 is indicated in the therapy of a number of genitourinary infections caused by susceptible organisms. These infections include the following: pyelonephritis, pyelitis, ureteritis, cystitis, prostatitis, and urethritis. Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas

Contraindications

When this intervention should not be used

This drug is contraindicated in individuals who have shown hypersensitivity to any of its components. This drug, because of the sulfonamide component, should not be used in patients with a history of sulfonamide sensitivities, and in pregnant females at term.
