Cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) antibodies are highly specific markers for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), an autoimmune condition causing joint inflammation. Unlike the older rheumatoid factor test, anti-CCP antibodies are present in early RA and predict disease progression and severity.
